The Archer School for Girls is seeking a skilled and experienced full-time French teacher beginning in August 2025. The position involves teaching Middle and/or Upper School French classes using student-centered methodologies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching 5 classes, serving as an advisor, and participating in co-curricular school activities. Primary Function: Develop and implement a standards-based curriculum that utilizes constructivist instructional methods in the appropriate subject matter and grade level. Create a healthy, safe learning environment that demonstrates respect for all and supports student success. Communicate and partner effectively with parents to support student learning. Evaluate student learning and adapt to evaluation data to continually improve our academic program.
Essential Functions
Working within a collaborative, team environment, Teachers will:

Incorporate constructivist instructional methods into a standards-based program.

Environment
Uneven surfaces, noise, quick work pace. Requires that the incumbent work effectively under stressful situations and respond to the unpredictable behaviors of students. Frequent use of computer screen. Occasionally involves working outdoors and exposure to inclement weather. Infrequently involves exposure to traffic congestion. It may rarely involve exposure to biohazardous waste.
